The Yellow World

Hello I’m Lisa Bent and welcome to the PH ZONE.  In last month’s podcast, I expressed the importance of following your Blueprint, which is your own path. I acknowledge this takes time and where do you even begin in knowing what your blue print is?

The Yellow World by Albert Espinosa is a book I started reading this week. It jumped out at me amongst the many other books in the bookshop due to its title.  I read the first page and was sold; it’s this first page that I want to share with you.

Don’t hold the knife if your left hand.

Don’t put your elbows on the table.

Fold your napkin properly.

That’s the beginning.

Tell me the square root of three thousand three hundred and thirteen

Where is Tanganyika? What year was Cervantes born?

I’ll give you an F if you talk to your classmate.

That’s how it carries on.

Do you think it’s right that an engineer should write poetry?

Culture is an ornament; business is business.

If you stay with that girl you’re not welcome in our house.

That’s living.

Don’t be so crazy. Best behaviour. Stand up straight.

Don’t drink. Don’t smoke. Don’t cough. Don’t breathe.

Yes, don’t breathe! Say no to every ‘no’

And relax: die.

Growing up we are taught many things.  I invite you to take some time to work out what information serves you in support of you being all that you are.

In finding your Blueprint; search for your Yellow World. What does it look like, sound like? Whatever you decide and create,  it should give you unrestrictive  joy, love and laughter.

Who we are is at the centre of everything. Look within to help explain your world and change your world. You have been listening to The PH ZONE– Find your balance.
