Hello I’m Lisa Bent and welcome to the PH ZONE. “Are you the CEO of your life?’ asked Zena in the October posting. Her expressions were, as always interesting but it was the title that really got me thinking.
Regardless of whether you own a business or not we are all the masters of our own lives. Do you take charge, creating as you go along? Or are you plodding along going wherever the wind takes you. The latter isn’t necessarily a bad thing however if you never make a decision then you could end up down the road that leads to comfort zone. It may be safe, and may provide security but are you growing in a personal and professional way? If this sounds like you it may be time to ask yourself some questions.
Where are you currently residing? How did you get there? What was the path you were meant to take? What internal obstacle, self-doubt, fear prevented you from going there? It’s always easy to blame someone else but many times it is our own sabotage that stops us doing what we want to do. We all have doubts; we all get scared you are not alone.
Being the CEO of your life means that you are being and living the best possible you. This doesn’t happen over night. First you have to look at where you currently are, where you want to be and then create goals to make it happen. Some people, walk, run, cycle, drive or take an aeroplane to their destination. It matters not how fast or slow you are, what matters is that you don’t stop.
I recently wrote a blog called “Grain of sand living” as I felt stuck and bored. I find these feelings usually pop up when I am due for a change. If this is how you feel it may be your mind, body and soul trying to push you to do more or something different.
Listen and take note of what is happening.
Everyone has a path, a path that leads to different roads, experiences and encounters, which is all part of the journey. Does the journey lead to your life purpose, destiny? Or is each path an individual lesson that has a purpose in itself? There are only individual answers to this question which are neither right nor wrong. However I can guarantee that you will not find the answers sitting in the comfort zone eating crisps.
Visualise a higher aspect of yourself. Get your CEO hat on, coupled with the dapper suit and stiletto shoes whatever works to get you thinking and being a better, greater you!
Who we are is at the centre of everything. Look within to help explain your world and change your world. You have been listening to The PH ZONE– Find your balance.
