Hi. My name is Sue Rebello. Welcome to my first blog! I am excited to be contributing to Phenomenal Healthstyle and look forward to sharing information relating to fitness and nutrition.
First, a little bit about me…
A few years ago I decided that I was tired of feeling bad about my appearance. I had yo-yo dieted like most people and ended up where I started…overweight and not liking myself very much.
So, in addition to the sporting activities I enjoyed participating in, I joined a gym and started weight training. I also changed the types of foods that I ate after reading about healthy eating principles. Guess what happened? I started losing body fat, got more toned and confident.
Not long afterwards I was at a local bodybuilding show where I saw some very fit women on stage. I thought, ‘I want to do that.’ So I hired a trainer to get me ready for the next year’s show. We started several months in advance because I was starting from zero. I lost 30lbs and competed at 115lbs (52kg) in the women’s lightweight category (<121lbs or 55kg) and won!
It’s A Lifestyle
Since that first competition learning about fitness and nutrition and implementing new concepts has become my lifestyle. I constantly study both subjects and how they affect the human body. There is so much to learn.
Family and friends often ask for nutrition advice and I am happy to help. I hope what I write here will help you too. See you next week!
